I believe a strong economy and a protected environment are not mutually exclusive. For instance, I believe that the Halliburton Loophole which allows fluids used in the natural gas extraction process of Hydraulic fracturing to be exempt from protections under the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act and Safe Drinking Water Act, should be repealed, and that the rights to drill and mine on public lands should not be given away to private, international corporations for pennies on the dollar, resulting in America's people receiving no benefit from America's bounty. |
