Council Member, Council; City of Redondo Beach; District 1

Redondo is at a cross road. Will we retain and enhance our quaint sea side village appeal or sell out to soulless, cookie-cutter, mall chic overdevelopment? I have a vision to establish Redondo Beach as the Crown Jewel of the South Bay with quality development rather than over development.

Key decisions in the next few years will shape our city for generations to come. Will we allow overdevelopment in our harbor? Will we put our waterfront revitalization at risk by allowing an unneeded, blighting, polluting new power plant? What will we allow on the old Boston Market site?

With my 10 year track record of defending residents and fighting for development that balances developer profits with resident quality of life, residents can be assured that I will stay the course and not pull a "bait and switch" as several former councilmen have.

In addition to development decisions, I believe the key to Redondo's future is to attract some key new business to our City that will increase city revenues without overdevelopment. I will work to attract key businesses to Redondo.

Finally, I believe in government transparency and fiscal responsibility. Residents deserve a clear understanding of what their government is doing. And they deserve a use of budget that benefits the community overall. I have years of experience being a good stewart of taxpayer money and I take that responsibility seriously.
