I am stepping up to serve my community. My husband and I are property owners, business owners and residents of Signal Hill. My husband Al Wise, Jr. and I are making Signal Hill "Our Home Town"...where we plan on creating our legacy!Elizabeth Wise was born and raised in San Diego County. Elizabeth married at 16 and was widowed at 28 after 11 years of marriage. She was left to raise her 8 and 10 year old children. Elizabeth earned her AS Degree with a minor in paralegal studies from National University in San Diego. Her son Erick, put himself through college and earned two bachelor degrees, a Masters and a MD from University of Pittsburg. His wife, Jennifer has a PHD from John Hopkins and they have a son. Her daughter Mishelle, is a mother of 4 and her husband, Jason is a Beverly Hills attorney. In 2002 and 2007, Elizabeth survived two bouts of breast cancer. She is passionate about giving back and serving her community. Elizabeth married Al Wise, Jr. (an oil well "wildcatter") in May 2010 and moved to make her home with Al in Signal Hill. Al purchased about an acre of oil well property at 2749 California Avenue in Signal Hill in 2005. Al and Elizabeth are residents and businessowners who own and operate Imperial Occidental Resource Recovery, Inc. in Signal Hill. They purchased 6 bricks at Hilltop Park to build their legacy one brick at a time. Imperial Occidental, Inc.: (Husband's Partner) Signal Hill oil producer/servicing company. Elizabeth is the VP, CFO and Administrator of the company. An oil producer and oil servicing company, it has its own personal machine shop located in Lakewood (will be moved to Signal Hill in the future). Their oil business provides insight into Signal Hill's greatest resources and challenges. They look forward to being part of Signal Hill's history! EES Paralegal Services/Owner & Degreed Paralegal: Intermediary between my clients and City/County officials, OSHA/Workers' Comp/Labor Board Hearings and Attorneys resulting in resolutions; review client's attorney invoices for duplicate/overbilling; estate planning for Police/Fire Associations and Notary Public since 1996. Elizabeth has been a City Charter Commissioner, a Parks/Recreation Commissioner, a Kiwanis Club President, American Cancer Society Event Chair, a member of the Susan G. Komen Coalition, and First Five Grantwriter/Recipient for Non-Profit Hearts & Hands of a Spanish High Conflict Class for parents. |
