I have had the opportunity to serve on County Council twice and used common sense, fiscally conservative principles to protect taxpayers and help eliminate fraud in county government. I have never voted to raise property taxes. I made it easier for public housing officials to evict criminals and drug dealers from taxpayer-funded Section 8 housing by giving police enhanced tools. I protected local jobs by enacting an e-Verify program to stop the hiring of illegal immigrants. With a full term on Council I know I can have a lasting impact on our conservative priorities.
