The budget needs to be constrained while still providing the best possible education

Over the past two years, dramatic funding cuts at the state level have forced all school districts to make painful decisions, resulting in bigger taxes or class sizes, or fewer program options or depleted reserves.

The looming pension crisis ensures even more pressure on our resources, increasing the need for a school board that reflects the will of the entire community. We need to solicit feedback as to what to change. We are fortunate to live in an area filled with managerial, financial and educational expertise. We should welcome their help rather than deliberately shield them from the process.
