My law practice of 30 years in the trial and appellate courts qualifies me for Judge of the Court of Common Pleas. I have represented individuals in assessment appeals, consumer rights, custody and divorce, guardianships, wills and estates, personal injury, and zoning law.

I have engaged in complex litigation in 250 cases against a major life insurance company for deceptive sales practices that violated the Unfair Trade Practices Act and Consumer Protection Law. As a result of this litigation, new law was created in Pennsylvania that protects consumers and awards them damages in the purchase of any kind of insurance policy that was misrepresented at the time of sale.

To meet the pro bono responsibility of any attorney in private practice, I have regularly represented individuals without charge in custody litigation. Recently, I won a case before the PA Superior Court of Pennsylvania concerning grandparents' rights to custody.

Finally, to assist property owners in Allegheny County, my law partner, Kenneth R. Behrend, and I conducted two dozen seminars without charge on how to successfully appeal your property assessment.
