Balanced Budget and strong reservesAntelope Valley College has a balanced budget and strong reserves (and has maintained that fiscal strength for many years). At a time when many school districts are having financial difficulties, laying off faculty and staff, and reducing services, AVC has been a shining example for other districts to follow. Advanced planning, contingency measures and welcoming faculty and staff ideas to deal with a crisis of reduced revenues from the State, allowed AVC to weather the storm and still meet our obligations for educating our students. As a result, AVC is adding classes and staff. New facilities, technology and infrastructure make AVC a recognized leader among Community Colleges. |
