My Candidate Statement

Important challenges lie ahead. Ensuring that Larkspur remains well governed and fiscally disciplined is critical. I believe Larkspur is best served when our public officials listen and work collaboratively with residents and business owners to find sensible solutions to our City's needs, including road and bridge repair; improving public safety; enhancing disaster preparation; and fostering a healthy business climate. All affect Larkspur's quality of life.

I am proud of my active participation in a wide range of community activities. During the last eight years, I have served as a private school Trustee; President of the Redwood High School Foundation; and a member of the Twin Cities Disaster Preparedness Committee and the Marin County Search and Rescue Team. I was also appointed to several Larkspur ad-hoc committees dealing with key issues facing our community.

These experiences involved making tough decisions to protect critical programs; fundraising to support academics; and working closely with many public safety officials.

I believe my knowledge, experience, and commitment has prepared me well to contribute effectively in the Council's deliberations.
