Political Philosophy for Andy Frazer
Candidate for |
I am running for City Council because I am very concerned about what I see in the city's long-term financial outlook, and the long-term plans to over-develop this city. I want to do something about it. Increasing development of high-density office buildings is not the answer to managing our city's budget. I will take a fiscally conservative approach to controlling costs, instead of cashing in on the current "land rush" of office development Massive high-density housing is not the solution to our transportation gridlock, our water shortage, nor our air pollution. We need to focus on real solutions that will not degrade the community character of Sunnyvale. I support the Lawrence Expressway grade separation project. I support replacing the Water Pollution Control Plant and building out our recycled water network. I support establishing a Community Choice Aggregation system so residents have the option of seamlessly purchasing their electricity from "Green" producers. I will not accept endorsements or campaign contributions from special interest groups. I will remain independent of special interest influences and will represent only the residents of Sunnyvale. |
