Candidate Statement

I believe that I am a good listener, able to hear many viewpoints, however, I won't do anything that I think is wrong.
I have been president of the San Bruno Education Foundation from 2005 to 2013, working with parents, teachers, and administrators. I have been active in the PTA/PTOs at Portola and Parkside. In my work as a facilities engineer, I have been a union member and a supervisor. I believe that my combination of work skills and district volunteerism makes me well-qualified to continue serving on the school board.
I don't have any agenda, other than helping our public schools give the best education possible to our children. The budget and the Common Core Standards implementation will be challenging, but I believe that these hurdles can be overcome with teamwork between the community and the school district.
I hope to bring trust back into the relationship between the district and the public. Please vote for me, Patrick Flynn-- I will do my best to keep our schools great! Thank you for support.--Patrick Flynn
