JobsBy John JakeCandidate for Assembly Member; California State Assembly District 54; Assembly District 54 | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
JobsCreating jobs in the 54th Assembly District is my top priority. The national economic recovery has not moved enough people from unemployment to steady work sufficient enough to support a family. John Jake will work to create new jobs in the following ways: Incentivize Entertainment Industry Job Growth The entertainment industry is a mainstay of our local economy. It is being increasingly driven from our state and national borders. John Jake will create incentives to stop runaway production, and encourage entertainment industry job growth. Support Small Business John Jake will help enable small business owners to take advantage of local and state contracting opportunities. Local businesses must be given the opportunity to bid on state and local taxpayer-funded projects, because taxpayer's dollars fund countless public work projects. Connect Unemployed Residents to Apprenticeship Programs Our tax revenue is currently being invested in building schools, transit systems and community college facilities across Los Angeles. So, John Jake will work to enroll unemployed residents from the 54th Assembly District in labor apprenticeship programs, that will teach hands-on labor skills, so they can get a job that will help support their families. Create Local Green Jobs John Jake will prioritize the creation of local green jobs to help build a new economy for California. |
