Council Member; City of Piedmont

I believe all Piedmonters should be able to participate in a dialog about our priorities for our City through a transparent and robust public process, including:

• Televising important City meetings
• Holding public hearings on major issues
• Commissioning detailed reports that cover the possibility of unintended consequences
• Honoring the spirit as well as the letter of our City Charter and the state's open meeting and public records laws.
• Respecting the credentials and mandates of our Council-appointed boards and commissions and considering their recommendations carefully.
• Establishing a culture of respect that welcomes and encourages public participation.
