Education and Qualifications:
I have watched our city and especially our downtown morph into something amazing. People are flocking to our urban core like never before. As a downtown resident, it is a source of pride to not only watch this transformation, but also take part in it.

I have worked hard to gain the experience necessary to represent you in city council. I belong to a labor union and I am a shop steward. I fight to protect wages, benefits, and treatment of working class families. Recognized for my education in economics, I was elected treasurer of the national union representing EMT's, paramedics and support staff across the country. I will hold the same accountability and responsibility representing you in city council.

At the same time, I come from and am a part of my family's small San Jose business. I understand the issues businesses face when operating in the capital of Silicon Valley.

Experience aside, I will also strive to work for a strong urban core; pedestrian and bicycle friendly streets; parks and recreation; homeless outreach; a focus on broken window type crimes, and working towards a stronger community based on the arts, culture, and nutrition.
