Education and Qualifications:
Councilmember Pierluigi Oliverio has always been independent. He has never been controlled by nor is he accepting endorsements from corporations, labor unions or special interest groups. His 18 years of professional high-tech experience helped save San Jose taxpayers $1.4 million on one technology project alone. During his seven year tenure on the city council, he has never missed a council meeting or a council committee meeting.

Pierluigi is a lifelong San Jose resident and the son of immigrant parents, both retired teachers. He is proud to have attended both San Jose K-12 public schools and San Jose State University, where he paid his tuition by working at night. A former public school educator, he completed his teaching credential and classroom instruction at Gunderson and Leland. He is a parishioner of Saint Christopher's church and a homeowner on Cherry Ave.

Pierluigi has authored over 300 articles regarding the myriad of challenges and opportunities facing San Jose. He has been clear and consistent in documenting his beliefs and voting record.
