Top Priorities if Elected |
- Invest in Oakland Teachers, both paying teachers fairly, but also investing in training and professional development.
- Organize Parents. To me this means working with families much earlier, and helping parents to hold the district accountable for improving schools.
- Shift Resources so that we invest in the people who work with students rather than central administration.

- Why I'm Running
-
Good schools are about so much more than covering the curriculum, managing classrooms and preparing students for life after high school. Good schools help students to feel accepted, safe and loved.
- Education as Freedom

I am running for Oakland School Board because I believe strongly in the key role of public institutions in helping people to get the skills and tools they need to be successful.
- Why Oakland Needs Strong Public Services
-
