Top Priorities if Elected |
- Restore safety, calm, order and civility to school campuses
 - Stop free fall of spending which has cut reserves from 31 million to 5 million
 - Get our District out of sub-par academic ranking (10 plus points below STAR-Testing state averages on reading, math and science literacy)

- SCHOOL CLIMATE
 -
Chaos and sound education don't coexist. Sadly, we pick up a newspaper or flick on the t.v. and repeatedly see Antioch schools featured, from a brutal fight at Dallas Ranch Middle School to mob scenes at the Deer Valley Shopping Plaza.
 - STOP DEFICIT SPENDING
 -
When I left the Board in 2012 there was an ending fund balance of 31 million dollars. At the end of the 2014-12015 school year it will be 5 million, the state mandated minimum 3%.
 - ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE
 -
Antioch scores ten points or more below the state average STAR-testing on reading, math and literacy. We now run with Pittsburg and Richmond. Granted, maybe going head to head with Orinda and Walnut Creek is dreaming a bit for now, but, for starters, how about us competing with Brentwood?
