Candidate for
Member, Board of Directors; Beach Cities Health District

I am a mom, family doctor, and lifelong Beach Cities citizen. I grew up in Redondo Beach, and still live in the house my grandparents built. When I was a young girl, I remember my grandma's stories about my aunt--her daughter--who died at the age of nine. Whenever she talked about my aunt's illness, which at the time the doctors could not treat, my grandma always talked about the honesty of the doctors who were open about her daughter's condition, and the kindness of the nurse whose brother had died of the same disease during the Great Depression.

That story deeply impressed upon me that although doctors cannot always cure, our compassion and care can always help to heal. It is to help restore family and community in medicine that I'm asking for your vote.
