Candidate for
Council Member; City of Anaheim

Councilwoman Gail Eastman has dedicated her public service to preserving what is special about Anaheim and it's people, places and exceptional neighborhoods.

As a Councilmember, first elected in 2010, and former planning commissioner, Gail has worked steadfastly to protect the historical integrity of Anaheim while guiding its future progress with a focus on economic growth. Additionally, in her role as an Orange County Transportation Authority Director, Councilmember Eastman brought hundreds of millions of dollars of transportation improvements to the region on behalf of local residents. These improvements have increased mobility, enhanced local quality of life and boosted the regional economy.

An historian and author, Councilmember Eastman is also the Chair of the Children's Education Foundation of Orange County, which presents the annual Gift of History event where every third grader in Orange County is invited to attend an educational program held in Angel Stadium each fall. This event has been acknowledged as the "World's Largest History Lesson" by the Guinness Book of World Records with over 15,000 students in attendance.

Gail and her husband Ron moved to Anaheim approximately 30 years ago. Of all her efforts, she's most proud of her three sons and her six grandchildren.
