What do you see as the role of the Board in labor negotiations? Answer from Lois M. Locci: Responsible first to taxpaying communities Supporting contract terms that advance college initiatives Assuring fairness in both monetary and non-monetary arenas Advocating for long-term fiscal resilience 3. What are your goals for the college? Are students, faulty and staff currently meeting those goals? Answer from Lois M. Locci: Intensify student recruitment and retention programs by emulating successful models. Restructure basic skills programming away from a deficit model (you're not ready yet) toward a coaching model (here's specifically what you need to succeed). Revisit curriculum in terms of the experience of high school graduates with the new Common Core Curriculum.
