Political Philosophy for Kristen Pan Lyn

My family moved to CUSD so that our two daughters (ages 3 and 5) could receive the excellent education that CUSD offers. I am a senior finance professional, with a B.S. and M.S. in Accounting. My experience with a large international accounting firm has enabled me to understand and manage diverse and complex organizations. I am a volunteer at my daughters' schools and also helped American Indian schools and orphanage periodically. I decided to run for the CUSD board so I can contribute my knowledge, experiences, and passion for the community to continue the district's path toward excellence. I bring a commitment to a long-term endeavor for bettering CUSD as both of my daughters will attend CUSD for the years ahead.
If I am elected, I will focus on these particular areas ("FACE"): -Accountability: Ensuring that the Board and its staff are held accountable for implementing the district's programs/policies. -Communication: Maintaining strong and effective communication among schools, parents, and the community. -Education of Whole-Child: Emphasizing student success in ethics, academics, extracurricular activities and global citizenship. It takes the entire community to educate our children who are the future of our society. Together, we can provide the best education for the students of CUSD. I would be honored to have your vote. |
