I've lived in Hermosa Beach for 36 years. My wife, Christine Duclos, is a local teacher, and we raised our children here.

The only home we have ever owned is right here in Hermosa. I served on the city council and I served as mayor, and I have been the only person from Hermosa to serve on the California Coastal Commission.​

Hermosa Beach is an important part of my life, and that's why I am so committed to giving back to the community that has meant so much to me and my family.
