Candidate for Governing Board Member; Bellflower Unified School District

Yoko and I are the very proud parents of 2 BUSD students. Both went to Craig Williams and then the MAP program at Mayfair high school. Akira, our son, was appointed to the Air Force Academy and now a captain stationed in Japan. Our daughter, Kelsi, got a scholarship to Colorado School of Mines and is now a petroleum engineer working in Oklahoma. We are really appreciative of the wonderful education they got here in Bellflower. Now it is our turn to give back as we would love to help others fulfill their academic goals.

I learned from my tenure as president of the Japanese community center that we need to step up to the plate, be willing to take on the role of responsibility, and bring different point of view to the board. I would like to bring my work ethic, common sense, and life experience to the board.
