 Linda Reid: Reasonable and Right for Kids BA Communication, BS Biology, Stanford University, 1988. MBA, USC, 1993. College Admissions Advisor: I know what it takes for all types of students to be competitive. PTA Board Member: Gifting, Legislation, Library. Booster Club: Cross Country Coach/team parent. I was chosen to the school board after observing and speaking at meetings for nearly 2 years, looking to solve problems in the district curriculum office and improve our transition to new math programs that severely impact our children's potential for college competitiveness. Because I engaged thoughtfully with our local leaders, they chose me to step to "the other side of the table" and we have worked well during my 9 months on the PVPUSD School Board. Family: Parent of two PVPUSD students. Daughter of one of the first female programmers in Silicon Valley and a self-employed CPA. Husband, Scott, is a sports journalist. Son, Duncan, aspires to a career as a Senate staffer after being a professional runner/triathlete; Son, Frankie, looks to play in goal for Manchester United and then become an advertising executive or sports journalist.
