As a school board member for twelve years, I am proud to report our students are performing better academically and suspensions and expulsions have dropped dramatically. Student, parent, and staff surveys indicate a very high level of satisfaction. We have increased academic choices for parents and have improved and expanded our after-school programs. I have worked tirelessly to ensure every student is academically challenged, motivated to excel, and feels safe. I am very proud that with limited funding from the State we never waivered in our commitment to provide music and art to our students. As an incumbent, CPA, and MBA with over 30 years business and educational experience, I am uniquely qualified to provide the educational and financial leadership necessary to work with budget limitations while making sure we provide the quality teachers and programs our children deserve. I pledge to continue our efforts to improve student success, listen to the community, develop and train our teachers, and make sure we spend our money responsibly. Children are our community's most valuable asset. Their education must be our top priority. Being a school board member is a tremendous privilege and honor. I respectfully ask for your vote again. |
