Summary: Efficient and Effective Delivery of Services.
Our County needs to be run like successful businesses. We must begin moving away from a hierarchical top-down management style, to one that encourages individual responsibility and teamwork. We also need to attract and retain the best-qualified employees, provide them with the necessary resources and equipment, and encourage and support innovation, creativity, and risk-taking in the way we provide services to our residents. To do so makes both common sense and good business sense. I will insist on the achievement of measurable results, and the elimination of unnecessary paperwork and red tape. I will provide our staff with the resources and support needed to accomplish their job, while insisting on accountability and high levels of performance.
