Priorities

First and foremost, my priorities are the education and safety of our children.

I will strive to ensure that there are enough textbooks for all of our children in a timely manner. I will always listen to staff and others on any new and innovative ways to become more efficient at educating our children.

Safety is paramount to having a productive learning environment. As a school board member, I will strive to enforce policies and help create new policies if necessary to ensure the safety of our children and staff. Our three elementary schools are now at a manageable level as far as student population is concerned. Our middle school is overcrowded and I believe options must be explored to relieve this situation. Gavilan View Middle School has always had a good reputation amongst all of the Salinas middle schools. One of my goals is to ensure that it stays that way and only continues to excel.
