Political Philosophy for David F. Landriscina
Candidate for |

|
The reasons I've chosen to run for a seat on the Murrieta Council are many and I believe some of the most defining moments for our community will occur in the next four years. I am a serious candidate with a plan proposal. A smart growth strategic plan that taps our potential to become a regional leader in the pharmaceutical and high tech agri-business sectors with our golden triangle symbolizing the gateway to local self determination, community spirit and good will for this and future generations to come. The first step on our journey forward begins with the earmarking for construction of a front-end processing facility of wheat grains, which yields the products that feed the industries mentioned above. In the old days, these processing facilities were called Mills-like the one in old town Murrieta-which extracts through the process of fermentation medical grade alcohol/ethanol and two co-products: proteins & fibers. This aspect of bio-technology has already been proven for many years by various research and development groups(one in Northern California)and has the eyes and ears of our Departments of Agriculture/Energy. DOA has a history of contributing to developing new markets like ours, in partnership with local and out of state wheat farmers-many of whom would be the venture capitalists in addition to Wall Street and many other investors. This project if undertaken would be one of the finest examples of the public and private sectors working together to improve the quality of life, and contribute to the diversification of the local economy. From this new stream of revenues come the opportunities for sit-down restaurants which then combine to provide a steady stable flow of city revenues which could be used to pay for added public safety-more police and fireman, parks and recreation, provide higher levels of student achievement in the K-12 experience (corporate contributions)which when combined, have a direct effect on increases in property values and our overall standard of living. By consensus, this idea along with many others being carefully considered(at present a mixed picture), will serve to frame the complete picture for the City of Murrieta during the next four years. If elected, I accept the challenge to be part of the team that takes responsibility for our future. Change is leadership-demand to know what the candidates PLAN to do lest we be fooled by a so called "PERCEPTION OF LEADERSHIP" which relies on power struggles from the dais. Don't vote for Dave Landriscina if your concerns are immediate gratification based on a selfish nature, allowing yourselves to be puppeteered like prey by those who use the temporary growing pains to manipulate you for votes, then once that vote is recorded as cast against the project, switch to approve the project on legal grounds and personal gain occurs from both sides. Yet, these acts of desperation are exactly what we have witnessed recently on the council. Let's raise the bar for personal integrity, personal responsibility and professional ethics by those elected to serve. If you can identify and align with this platform, then cast your vote for #4 on November 4th. Thanks in advance for your consideration on election day and by all means, do whatever you can to get out the vote!! |
