Candidate for
Board Member; Oak Grove School District

For the past 29 years I have been committed to quality education in our public schools in California, Santa Clara County and most specifically in the Oak Grove School District. I have served on the Oak Grove School Board for the past eight years. During this time I have served as Vice-President and President of the Board. I have also been active in the Santa Clara County School Boards Association, which encompases all 33 districts in Santa Clara County. I served terms as President, Vice-President, and as Chairman of the Hoffmann Awards Committee for this organization. I have been an active parent in the Oak Grove School District for over twenty-nine years. I volunteered as room mother, Student Council Advisor, Year Book Advisor, School Site Council President, District Advisory Committee President and numerous other school and district committees. I was recognized with a 15 year service award from the Boy Scouts of America, for my service as a Den Mother and Committee Chairperson. I have also served in many leadership positions within my Church, where I currently serve as the President of the Women's Organization, the Relief Society in my congregation. I have been recognized in the Mercury News "Doers Profile", and am the recipient of a Silver Bowl Award from the Junior League of San Jose for volunteer service.
