Candidate for
Council Member; City of Oceanside

Growing up in Oceanside was a wonderful experience for me. As a child, I walked to South Oceanside Elementary School, played on the beach, enjoyed "Slurpies" at the Pink Dot, graduated from Oceanside High School and loved the opportunity to live in a community that cared about childen and families.

When it came time to purchase a home, my husband Lloyd and I decided to raise our family in Oceanside. Although his obligations to the USMC, at times, took us away from Oceanside, we always came back home.

When Lloyd retired from the Marine Corps, we stayed in Oceanside. This was the place where we were raised - this is where we would bring up our children and someday, grandchildren.

I am running for Oceanside City Council because I know I can make a difference for this community. I have lived here over 50 years - participating in numerous community and civic organizations. Giving back to Oceanside has been a way of life for me and I believe that serving on Oceanside City Council would give me the opportunity to serve our community and make a difference for generations to come.
