Candidate for
Board of Directors; Pico Water District

A Pico Rivera resident for more than 40 years, Victoria Aguilera Galarza is a well-known and trusted community activist with an extensive portfolio of volunteer service to many local organizations and currently serves as a Parks & Recreation Commissioner.

A graduate of El Rancho High School, Vikki has maintained her passion to improve the quality of life for all Pico Rivera residents through her continued efforts as a volunteer. In this capacity, she has played key roles in the development and implementation of many community-wide improvements and projects.

Not content to relax with an ongoing, exemplary 25-year career with a local law enforcement agency, Vikki is currently a senior at the University of La Verne, where she is earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Organizational Management. She already possesses an Associate of Art Degree in Liberal Sciences from East Los Angeles Community College.

With an extensive knowledge of local and regional water issues gained through her years of dedicated civic service as well as hands-on experience and studies of water recycling and reclamation facilities and the Colorado River Aqueduct system, Vikki has identified concerns about the Pico Water District's inability to serve customers in the event of well or pump failure and its lack of inter-ties with other water sources.

As a member of the Pico Water District Board of Directors, Victoria Aguilera Galarza has pledged to put her comprehensive experience to work to solve these serious problems and to better serve District customers.
