A non partisan organization whose primary goal is to encourage greater awareness of, and participation in, town affairs.
A non partisan group that carried on an educational program about how a town administrator would function in Yorktown.
A 39 year resident of Yorktown, Susan is married, has three grown children who graduated from the Yorktown School District and two delightful grandchildren. She has a Master of Arts degree from the University of California at Berkeley and a Master of Public Administration degree from Pace University. A former Peace Corps Volunteer and Vista Volunteer, Susan's professional life, both as a stay-at-home and working mom, has focused on her people, communications and marketing skills. In addition to her experience as a newspaper reporter and Director of Communications for state and national trade associations, for many years she operated her own communications consulting business for a diverse group of clients. In 1992, together with her husband, she started a publishing company that has successfully marketed an innovative series of special interest books to an international audience. In 2009, at age 69, she decided to scale back her business commitments and devote her full time energy to restoring nonpartisan good government to Yorktown. |
